#264 / Don't Bite, II

One of my past commentaries was titled as follows: "My Advice: Don't Bite." It was published on this blog on May 26, 2023. That blog posting included a list of links to many of my other blog postings, all of them advising that "cryptocurrency" is, essentially, a "scam." Cryptocurrency has no inherent value, and is a purely speculative commodity. Investing in cryptocurrency is a good way to lose money (and maybe all your money). A number of "experts" are cited in my various past blog postings about cryptocurrency, so you don't have to take my word for it.

Well, The New York Times now advises us, in an article published on September 13, 2024, that our former president, Donald J. Trump, is now starting a new business, and is inviting us all to send him our money. Yep! The Times' article is headlined this way: "Donald Trump Prepares to Unveil a Cryptocurrency Business." [The picture above illustrated the article].

My advice (it's good advice) continues to be that no one should ever invest anything in cryptocurrency - even if the former president of the United States is backing it. Perhaps I should say, "especially if our former president is backing it."

In fact, since we are coming up on our November 5th Election Day, let me expand my advice as follows:

(1) - "Don't bite" on the Trump cryptocurrency offer.
(2) - "Don't bite" on Trump For President, either!
