Here is a meditation on action, and on our reluctance, all too often, to undertake it. My thoughts are presented by way of a poem, inspired by the picture above, which was captured from the edition of
my sister's blog published on March 23, 2024:
At the gate,
The door says, “wait."
That’s not the message of the cherry trees.
They say, in fact, do enter, please.
“Can’t wait,” they call.
It’s “now” that counts.
That is what those bright trees announce.
We cannot, will not, must not wait.
That’s what I’m thinking
At the gate.
