Immediately after having written the blog posting published yesterday, "Let's Put Ourselves To Work," I found a quotation that is directly relevant to this topic in the "Sunbeams" section of the August 2020 edition of The Sun magazine.
The "Sunbeams" section of the magazine, which always comes right at the end, is a collection of short quotations that speak to various important, and usually timely, topics. I think the following "Sunbeam" provides a pretty good argument for the Green New Deal idea:
If the federal government can pay farmers for not raising food, they can subsidize an honest job for people.
