5-Hour Energy is a flavored drink, the main active ingredient of which is, apparently, caffeine. I get my caffeine the old fashioned way, from coffee, so I've never had an occasion to try out this beverage. In fact, I never even heard of 5-Hour Energy until Tuesday, October 13th, when I saw a full page advertisement for "Billions in Change" in The Wall Street Journal.
It turns out that 5-Hour Energy has made its purveyor rich. Manoj Bhargava is the founder and CEO of 5-Hour Energy, and he has a net worth of around $4 billion. Bhargava is reportedly the "wealthiest Indian in America."
Bhargava's latest endeavor is "Billions in Change." Click the link to watch a trailer. Bhargava thinks he's got the solution to the world's fresh water crisis, can meet the need for abundant, non-fossil fuel based energy, and that he can solve global health problems, too.
I am all for billionaires devoting their wealth to trying to solve the world's problems, but I have a suspicion that we may need to solve the world's problems the old fashioned way, in which we all get involved, and that entrepreneurial billionaires aren't going to be able to do it for us, all by themselves.
Still, it's an interesting trailer, and there's a full-length film, too!

False dichotomy. Billionaires can devote their wealth to trying to solve the world's problems while the rest of us at the same time work to solve the world's problems the old fashioned way, in which we all get involved, etc.
