#326 / The Second Amendment




Amendment II

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Maybe we need to reevaluate how the Second Amendment has been interpreted!

    What if to get a gun permit, people had to spend a year in their local militia which involved military training and community service? The challenge of training and self sacrifice of service could transform carrying a gun from a symbol of belligerence to a badge of honor. People with open carry firearms would be less scary and welcome in stores, etc. Seems like a win for gun lovers and everyone else.
