#241 / A Barrier (Failing)

This picture, taken from the air in 2011, shows waves breaking on the Great Barrier Reef off Australia. While I was spending time in the air, my wife, Marilyn, spent time under the water. Her view was something like what you can see in Image #2, below. That image was published in the August 14, 2014 edition of The Guardian, to accompany an article with the following headline: "Environment Minister Greg Hunt Admits Great Barrier Reef Is In Trouble."

This is "news" because Mr. Hunt has been denying that (or so says The Guardian). The article properly states that "the first way to treat a problem is to admit the problem exists." 

Let's admit that the Natural World has real limits, and that we are overstepping. We keep on doing it, and here is what will be lost forever:
