This is my grandson, Dylan, pictured with a turtle he caught, at Lake Thompson, Maine. A moment later, the turtle bit Dylan on the nose, causing him great anguish, until he could pull him off. The turtle took some nose with him, though just a little bit, so I am told.
As Dylan's Dad said, this is a "life lesson."
Right now, Dylan is with me in Yellowstone National Park.
My hope is that Dylan did learn a life lesson there in Maine, and won't be tempting fate with the geysers!
If we don't watch out, Nature can bite us! Or burn us!
Have we all learned our life lessons, yet?
