#194 / The Real Deal

I saw this picture in a Facebook posting, and my affection for Eleanor Roosevelt welled up in response. I am pretty much convinced that it was the influence of Eleanor Roosevelt  that ended up making FDR's New Deal into the Real Deal. Her emphasis was on using the collective power we possess as a people to assist both individuals and local communities to gain power for themselves. 

That would still be a good prescription for what ails America.
