John Vasconcellos served many years in the California State Legislature, representing the "heart of the Silicon Valley." He is trying to leave a lasting legacy, and to reform California politics. He calls his effort the "politics of trust."
The "resource center" on the Vasconcellos Project website is urging the same kind of citizen activism that I have recently been advocating on my daily Land Use Report. Thank you, Senator Vasconcellos! As the Senator has noted, in a recent email, he's 80 years old and "not entirely retired!"
Considering the challenges we face, "retiring" is not a realistic option!
