The Land of Medicine Buddha is located at end of Prescott Road, in Santa Cruz County. It is a non-profit retreat center offering Buddhist classes and retreats. If you want to, you can "self-medicate," by walking through the woods, pausing at the indicated stops, and then getting some helpful instruction from the Buddha, by way of translations and explanations from the Dalai Lama. There is no charge for that.
