I recently visited New Zealand (North Island), and I can recommend it. In fact, I already have. It's not just the geography I like, either. I like the politics. Our Maori cab driver was quick to let us know that New Zealand is nuclear free. To me, when the cab driver brags to you, without prompting, about something like this, that indicates that the commitment is pretty solid.
