In Santa Cruz, where I live, the anarchists are organized (at least to some extent). Witness their "Free Skool" educational system, which bypasses the official governmental variety of education to provide learning experiences in a variety of subject areas. The anarchists in Santa Cruz have a sense of humor, too. How about a public coffeehouse named "Sub Rosa?"
At least in my community, anarchism means "working together." It's not just individualism run amok, which I think may be the general conception of what anarchism is all about. When "we the people" are the government, you can call it "anarchy." Or, you could call it an update of the American Revolution.
