Heinrich Schlier has written a slim little book entitled, Principalities and Powers in the New Testament, a copy of which I have on my bookshelf. Unfortunately, the book seems to be out of print. Until Google puts all the books of the world online, I guess you might have to visit an academic library, should you be interested in reading it.

I get this book from the shelf and read it from time to time because it raises a possibility so horrible that I can't ignore it: namely, that there are active and living powers of evil which have what might be called a "personal" existence, and which infiltrate and infect both the natural world, and the world we create.

If this is true, it does have an effect on how we "do politics!"
