302 / Scary
According to Wikipedia, Halloween has its roots in the Gaelic festival of Samhain, an "end of the summer" celebration. "The ancient Celts believed that the border between this world and the Otherworld became thin on Samhain, allowing spirits (both harmless and harmful) to pass through."
Whatever the origins of our "Halloween," it is generally accepted that "scary" costumes go along with it. No surprise, then, that the face of Richard Nixon would be adapted as a Halloween image.
I thought Nixon was the definition of "scary politics" until I experienced the politics of George W. Bush!
