On the train: one woman (young) with a tee-shirt proclaiming, "Dreams Only Work / When You Do." Hot. People fanning themselves. Tattoos (many). Young men playing games. A woman with two young children; one of them, her son, playing a game, too. Her daughter, much younger, sucking on very thin slices of coconut, which the mother fetches from a little bottle she has in her purse. Glances exchanged. It's hot. Shared suffering. Dealing with the baggage. Acknowledgments all around.

Train as metaphor.

We are all together in this.
